Case could block Clean Air Act protections and drastically weaken the EPA’s ability to act on climate This week, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in West Virginia v.

After years of hard work, and a long procedural delay, a pair of legal cases brought by Clean Wisconsin and its co-petitioners to protect Wisconsin’s water are finally being heard by the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

With the many challenges facing Wisconsinites—including unsafe drinking water, impacts from climate change, and living through a global pandemic—the governor’s budget proposal includes important initiatives to both help Wisconsin families and sustain a strong economy.

This summer has brought a lot of changes for Clean Wisconsin, and this includes some new additions to our staff.

Our 50-year history gives us perspective and helps provide context as we prepare for the long road and hard work of addressing huge issues ahead.

At Clean Wisconsin, we believe we have a responsibility to address the ways in which environmental issues impact the most vulnerable communities.

On the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, we celebrate our history and forge ahead for our future.

With the entire state being ordered to stay at home due to COVID-19, there are undoubtedly benefits to the environment. Still, there are further ways for everyone to reduce waste, save money, and help the planet.

Please know that despite this crisis, we’re still here, working to protect your environment.

Each year the need for protecting Wisconsin’s environment comes into sharp focus on trips to summer cabins, while boating on Lake Superior, fishing on a northern Wisconsin lake, or running through woods or past fields of coneflowers on Picnic Point in Madison.
