If you join or donate to Clean Wisconsin online, you will receive our regular membership communications. You can, at any time, ask to no longer receive these communications; see the Opt-Out section below.
Clean Wisconsin does not sell or otherwise disclose your personal information outside the organization. However, if you become a member of Clean Wisconsin, some information on our membership lists, such as your name and mailing address, may be exchanged with other organizations. Members may opt out of such membership list exchanges by following the Opt-Out Procedures below.
Clean Wisconsin uses “cookies,” or simple text files stored by a visitor’s web browser, to collect anonymous data about visitors to our website. This information includes pages viewed, date and time of visit, browser type, and geographic region. Clean Wisconsin does not make any association between this information and the visitor’s identity. This anonymous data is used specifically to assess the effectiveness of Clean Wisconsin’s website.

To opt-out of having your membership information exchanged with other organizations or to unsubscribe from Clean Wisconsin communications, send us e-mail or postal mail to the address below.
In your letter or e-mail, make sure to give us your:

- Mailing address (including city, state and Zip code)
- Indication that you do not wish to have your membership information exchanged with other organizations, and/or other instructions.
Clean Wisconsin may contact you by email to communicate advocacy and educational messages and other information that may be of interest to users of this Site. To opt out of receiving such future email communications from us:
- We provide you with the opportunity to opt-out at the point where we request information from you, such as when you take action through our site.
- You also have an opportunity to opt-out of receiving future email communications from us by following the "Unsubscribe" instructions contained in emails we send you.
We may continue to contact you via email for administrative or informational purposes, including follow-up messages regarding the administration of your account, renewal of your membership, or other transactions you have undertaken.
Email Action Network Privacy
For those subscribed to our email action network - please know we will never share your email address. We respect your right to privacy and will keep confidential any personal information you share with us. Personal information you provide through our Action Network host site is stored in a secure location, and is accessible only to designated staff. We will not disclose the information we collect to individuals outside our organization. Our emails to you may include "web beacons" that allow us to track that you opened the email or that you click on a link in the email. We use these beacons to gauge member interests and to help us write more engaging messages that match those interests. Beacons can be disabled in many email programs by disabling images or by viewing only text versions of emails.Should you desire not to receive any further emails from us, you will be given clear directions in every email message on how to unsubscribe.
