Ciaran Gallagher, Ph.D.

As the Energy & Air Manager, Ciaran Gallagher is eager to advocate for the acceleration of energy system decarbonization. She is motivated to address the climate crisis and its disproportionate harms on vulnerable populations. Previously, Ciaran worked at municipal and state governments on supporting data-driven governance for energy and climate policies.

Ciaran has a Ph.D. in Environment and Resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a concentration in energy analysis and policy. Her dissertation focused on the intersections of climate change mitigation, air pollution, public health, and environmental justice. She has a B.A. in Environmental Chemistry from Wellesley College.

Ciaran enjoys outside activities in all Wisconsin seasons, including rowing on Lake Mendota, cross-country skiing, hiking the Ice Age Trail, and gardening.
