Clean Wisconsin is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit seeking a motivated Membership and Outreach Manager. This position is responsible for the design, management, implementation, and evaluation of Clean Wisconsin’s Annual Fund and Membership Program with a focus on increased donor retention, acquisition, and giving strategies. The Manager oversees the fundraising functions of the database, including report generation and data entry. They also support planning and coordination of special events, reporting to the Development Director.

Responsibilities:
- Implement the Annual Fund/Membership Program and its integrated fundraising channels; direct mail, email, telephone, and social media. Implement new strategies to increase donor retention, upgraded gifts, and acquisition. Manage membership related questions.
- Manage database and ensure database integrity and coding to support accurate reporting. Establish written protocols and processes. Follow all database, membership and gift entry policies and procedures in implementation of gift, data, and membership entry. Ensure annual NCOA (National Change of Address) and maintain updated emails and phone numbers.
- Track and regularly report key performance metrics of all fundraising programs including major gift portfolios, leadership giving, direct mail, email, website, telephone and social media with focus on measuring retention, upgraded gifts, website giving, click and open rates.
- Implement stewardship program ensuring supporters receive personal thank you phone calls, emails, and acknowledgement letters in a timely manner.
- Follow and help implement Communications calendar of Action Alerts and EcoBriefs, incorporating fundraising solicitation/stewardship messages and sending to members and donors on schedule.
- Work with the Communications team to create and manage production of Annual Fund and Membership materials.
- Support the Development Team in the success of Clean Wisconsin’s annual fundraising event, Epicurean Evening.
- Manage membership and outreach events by maintaining a presence and acting as a Clean Wisconsin ambassador at conferences and community events. Maintain and stock necessary event materials such as fact sheets, merchandise/swag, and brochures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to run CRM reports and interpret findings.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at once, with flexibility, and diplomacy.
- Ability to synthesize and communicate complex information quickly.
- Strong writing, oral communication, and listening skills.

Preferred Experience:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in fundraising and database management with demonstrated ability to successfully achieve goals and deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office and CRM software, preferably Salesforce.

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range for the position is $55,000-$65,000 commensurate with skills and experience. Benefits package includes health and dental insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan with a 6% employer match, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, and paid time off and holidays.
