Why Support Columbia Wind?

Columbia Wind is a 277 Megawatt (MW) wind farm proposed for Columbia County. If approved, this project will bring real benefits over the course of its 30 year life, including:

  • $41.6 million to fund local priorities such as new infrastructure and emergency services
  • Reducing Wisconsin’s reliance on dirty fossil fuels and the harmful air pollution that comes with them
  • Helping farmers diversify their income streams and keep farming families on the land
  • Promoting energy independence and cheaper energy bills as coal and gas get more and more expensive

The loudest voices shouldn’t decide your community’s future. If clean energy is being discussed where you live, you deserve the facts and a voice in what comes next.
