As the Strategic Communications Specialist, Jacob Ahrens-Balwit coordinates Clean Wisconsin’s integrated communications strategy and amplifies the organization’s work on key environmental issues. Jacob ensures Clean Wisconsin’s communications platforms tell a unified story, and that clear and consistent messaging reaches a variety of diverse audiences across the state.
Jacob has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies & Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin. While studying at UW-Madison, Jacob worked as an intern on the communications team at Clean Wisconsin. Prior to joining Clean Wisconsin full time, Jacob worked at the UW Center for Limnology, the Wisconsin DNR, and most recently, the Clark County Public Health Department in Washington State. As a Wisconsin native, Jacob is thrilled to be back in his home state working to protect its land, water, air, and people.
