Christopher Alban, MD, MBA grew up on the East Coast and earned his undergraduate and medical degrees in Pennsylvania, where he also trained and practiced Emergency Medicine. He relocated to Minnesota where he earned an MBA from the University of Minnesota, and then twenty-eight years ago, he and his family moved to Madison for a job at Epic Systems — and never left.
At Epic, Dr. Alban has spent 28 years advancing healthcare technology through sales, software development, and customer implementation and optimization. He holds three patents and has presented internationally on interoperability, EHR usage, and physician well-being. His work has deepened his appreciation for the power of data to improve healthcare, advance public health, and drive policy.
He and his wife raised three children in Madison, all now young adults. Eleven years ago, the family moved to the shores of Lake Mendota, giving their deep passion for clean lakes, clean water, and environmental protection a chance to grow. Whether exploring Door County or enjoying Madison’s parks and open spaces, Dr. Alban has become a committed advocate for all that Wisconsin has to offer — and for protecting it.
