Scott Blankman, Director for Energy and Air Programs is responsible for state and regional policies on energy and air issues that advance the environmental mission of the organization. He serves as the technical lead for the analysis of environmental topics and policies to inform advocacy and action.
Prior to joining Clean Wisconsin, Mr. Blankman was a Director for 13 years at Alliant Energy Corporation, an investor owned utility with operations in Iowa and Wisconsin. His experience at Alliant Energy included time as the Assistant Controller for the company’s utility operations, financial support of Alliant’s generation business unit, oversight of the organizations energy procurement, long term resource planning, and environmental functions. In addition, during his last two years at the company, he oversaw the company’s strategic planning efforts.
Prior to Alliant Energy, Mr. Blankman served in a variety of financial and leadership roles with Rayovac Corporation, an international consumer product company, and ABS Global, Inc., an international bovine genetics company. Mr. Blankman is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in Finance, from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa.
