As Membership & Outreach Manager, Sarah is responsible for membership management, event planning, and outreach to keep Clean Wisconsin’s members engaged in the important work they support. Having spent much of her professional life outdoors, Sarah is passionate about supporting Clean Wisconsin’s mission to protect the air and water in our state.
A summer studying rainforest management in Australia and New Zealand inspired Sarah to pursue a path in conservation. In 2011 she earned her degree in Biological Aspects of Conservation and a Certificate in Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. After graduating, Sarah taught environmental education in the greater New Orleans area through an internship with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Sarah then spent a summer in Washington, D.C. as an intern for the National Park Service working on habitat restoration. After returning to Wisconsin, Sarah spent two years leading backpacking trips along the Ice Age Trail in the Chequamegon National Forest. Sarah has since settled back in Madison where she keeps bees and volunteers on an organic farm.
