Pamela Ritger, Milwaukee Program Director & Staff Attorney

Joined May 2013

Pamela Ritger de la Rosa joined Clean Wisconsin in May 2013 and is based in Milwaukee. She gained an early appreciation of nature visiting her grandparents’ family farm in Allenton, Wisconsin, as well as the beaches, rivers and mountains of her mother’s native Dominican Republic.

In partnership with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) and several community and neighborhood organizations, Pam has led Clean Wisconsin’s efforts around green infrastructure outreach and installation in Milwaukee’s 30th Street Corridor neighborhoods since November 2013.  She also leads Clean Wisconsin’s efforts to scale-up green infrastructure installation throughout the Milwaukee region through educational workshops for residents, community organizations, businesses and developers, and is helping remove barriers to green infrastructure in municipal codes.  She also works with Clean Wisconsin’s Legal Department to strengthen and enforce regulations to protect our air and water, and to facilitate greater usage and development of clean, efficient energy in Wisconsin.  She was appointed to Milwaukee’s City-County Task Force on Climate and Economic Equity in July 2019.

Pam is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, the La Follette School of Public Affairs, and completed a certificate in Energy Analysis and Policy from the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies at UW-Madison, where she focused on climate change mitigation and resilience.  Prior to joining Clean Wisconsin, Pam worked as an Immigration Paralegal for several years and interned with the Sierra Club, Climate Focus, the Environmental Law and Policy Center, Midwest Environmental Advocates and the River Alliance of Wisconsin.

She is Board President of the Midwest Renewable Energy Association and Board Secretary of the Wisconsin Hispanic Lawyers Association.  Pam speaks Spanish fluently and volunteers as a Bilingual Election Worker.

Favorite things to do outdoors in Wisconsin: Swimming, biking, hiking urban green spaces with her family, and photographing nature, especially autumn leaves.
