Jon Drewsen believes that broad progress starts with each individual, and when people connect with social issues on a personal level, they can be inspired to be agents for change. Through this lens, Jon leads our organization’s communications efforts to educate and inspire our members and the public on issues impacting Wisconsin’s water, air, and energy.
Jon’s work through content & email marketing, digital advocacy, and public relations has supported a number of important policy and legal victories and has propelled the organization’s fundraising and events initiatives.
Jon has also led the organization by tapping into new opportunities to connect with the next generation of environmental advocates through media including podcasting and video storytelling.
Beginning as a Development Intern in 2015, Jon has worked in various capacities in Development and Communications at Clean Wisconsin before assuming his current role.
A native of Northeast Wisconsin, Jon has always had an affinity for the outdoors. He received his M.A. in English Literature from Loyola University Chicago, where he studied the writing of Henry David Thoreau. You can find him training for his next half-marathon, biking around town on his e-bike, and casting his fly rod in search of trout on Wisconsin’s many streams.
