Ella Schwierske, Foundation and Grants Manager, tracks and organizes grant requirements to ensure timely and meaningful reporting to the organizations that fund our work. Schwierske works with program staff to draft grant reports and proposals that highlight Clean Wisconsin’s accomplishments and goals. She also works with the Development team to update foundations and grantors on Clean Wisconsin’s critical work throughout the region, as well as researches new funding sources.
Schwierske interned for Clean Wisconsin’s communications department in 2010-2011 before moving to Washington, D.C. where she worked for Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin and the U.S. Climate Action Network. Prior to her current position with Clean Wisconsin, she worked as a climate change field organizer for Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters. Schwierske graduated in May 2011 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a dual degree in biological aspects of conservation and political science.
