Ruth Simpson is the research director at the Wisconsin Association of Justice. Ruth staffs the committees for the organization, including its Amicus Curiae Brief Committee. In that role, Ruth monitors the appellate court opinions of both the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.

She has also been involved in food and farm issues for over 25 years, first organizing consumer opposition against rBGH and farmer opposition to the dairy check-off. Through Ruth’s work with the Family Farmer Defenders, she has been involved in a number of food and farm issues and is a named plaintiff in the action against the proposed dairy in Adams County, which deals with the issue of whether the DNR can consider cumulative impacts of high-capacity wells on ground and surface water.
