Ways to Give

Gifts to the Clean Wisconsin can be made in a number of ways. The simplest method is a cash donation, however other gifts can provide you with a creative and tax advantaged donation.

Cash

Gifts of cash are the most common form of gift to the Clean Wisconsin. A cash gift is easy, and is not subject to estate taxation. Contributions postmarked by December 31st are deductible for the tax year even if received by Clean Wisconsin in January.

A cash gift entitles you to a charitable deduction of up to 50% of adjusted gross income. If all deductible gifts exceed the 50% limitation, you may carry over the excess amount for up to five years.

Cash gifts made by credit card can be made by clicking this link.

Matching Gifts

Make your gift to Clean Wisconsin go farther.  Many employers will match the charitable contributions of their employees. Ask your company’s human resources representative if such a program exists where you work. If so, ask for a matching gift form, fill out your portion, and enclose it with your gift to Clean Wisconsin. We’ll take care of the rest!

Host a House Party

With a bit of time and your Rolodex, you can have a big impact on Clean Wisconsin by hosting a fundraiser.  Member-sponsored house parties help us raise much needed general operating funds to support clean water, clean air, and clean energy programs.

In addition to raising money, these statewide events are excellent opportunities for Clean Wisconsin members, staff and board to mingle and hear personal stories of why protecting Wisconsin’s special places is so important to you.

If you are interested in hosting a Clean Wisconsin fundraiser in your home please contact Becky Weber, at 608-251-7020 x 17 or beweber@cleanwisconsin.org.

Gifts of Appreciated Securities

Gifts of appreciated stocks often create a win-win situation, the donor has the opportunity to avoid potential capital gains and receive a charitable deduction for the fair market value of the securities.

Securing the Future

Not everyone can be a major donor during their lifetime. Most of us need our current assets to provide for ourselves and our families. At our death however, most of us can provide major support to Clean Wisconsin in a number of ways. If the mission of Clean Wisconsin is something you would like to support after your death, allow us to show you several different options.

Remembering a friend or loved one who has died by making a donation in their name is a wonderful tribute to their memory.
