Clean energy for Wisconsin's future

Wisconsin's dependence on fossil fuels for energy production drains our economy and creates harmful air, water and global warming pollution. Luckily, there is a better path forward. With today's innovative technologies and Wisconsin's abundance of natural resources, we can create new jobs and clean our environment by producing clean, renewable energy right here at home. Clean Wisconsin works on multiple fronts to encourage the growth of a clean energy economy and reduce our need for harmful fossil fuels.

	Our priorities to advance clean, renewable energy include:
		A Stronger Renewable Energy Standard in Wisconsin For too long, Wisconsin has relied on out-of-state fossil fuels to produce our energy. However, with our abundance of natural resources, strong manufacturing base and superior agricultural capacity we can replace this addiction to dirty fossil fuels with a stronger Renewable Energy Standard, or RES.
		Eliminating Barriers to Wind Power in Wisconsin Wisconsin can boost its economy and produce clean, renewable energy using wind. Clean Wisconsin was a vital partner in the push to simplify rules and open Wisconsin's doors for wind power and helped pass the state's Wind Siting Rules that when in effect in 2012.
