Becoming a Volunteer
Who are We?
Clean Wisconsin, an environmental advocacy organization, protects Wisconsin's clean water and air and advocates for clean energy by being an effective voice in the state legislature and by holding elected officials and corporations accountable. Since most environmental issues are decided at the state level, Clean Wisconsin works to influence Wisconsin's public policy by educating public officials, voicing citizen's concerns, advocating for strong laws and enforcing existing laws. As a volunteer you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you are helping Clean Wisconsin's staff monitor environmental policy, craft and push important legislation and keep Wisconsin a cleaner, safer place for all who call it home.
What Can You Do?
There are many ways you can help Clean Wisconsin. We have a number of opportunities. No matter what your background and skill, your time, effort, energy and creativity are important to us. Whether it's sealing envelopes or coordinating federal issues research, we understand the incredible contribution all volunteers make. Volunteering at Clean Wisconsin means making a difference, for us and for Wisconsin!
How Can You Get Started?
The very first thing you can do is to join our Action Team. All you have to do to join the Action Team is send an email to Becky at beweber@cleanwisconsin.org and ask to be added to our Action Team. We will contact you via email when your action will make a difference. With a call, letter, or email, you can help us on issues before the legislature or the courts.
The next thing you can do is fill out the following volunteer application. The application gives us a better understanding of your available time, background and interests.
